The PA pickup is based on the originals EMG P but utilizes Alnico V magnets instead of ceramic. This gives the PA a warmer tone that has more vintage character. Because the PA utilizes Alnico V magnets coupled with short, squat coils, the tone is open, rich, and has less noise than most stock P bass pickups.
