Ibanez SR1300SB-MGL – Premium 4-String Electric Bass with Gigbag

The SR1300SB-MGL is a 4-string electric bass from Ibanez’s Premium series, supplied with a gigbag. It features a lightweight and well-balanced construction designed for comfortable playing over extended sessions. The body combines ash, panga panga, and mahogany, topped with panga panga, while the neck is a 5-piece Atlas-4 HP design made from panga panga and purpleheart.

Neck and Fingerboard

The neck is reinforced with two KTS™ titanium rods to improve stability and reduce sensitivity to humidity, helping prevent twisting or warping, especially around the 12th fret. The bound panga panga fingerboard has abalone oval inlays and 24 medium frets with Premium Fret Edge treatment. The nut is a Graph Tech® Black TUSQ XL model.

Electronics

The bass is fitted with Nordstrand® Big Break pickups in both the neck and bridge positions. An Ibanez Custom 3-band EQ, optimised for these pickups, includes an EQ bypass switch and a 3-way mid frequency switch, allowing selection between 250 Hz, 450 Hz, or 700 Hz. Controls include boost/cut for bass, midrange, and treble, as well as master volume and pickup balance.

Bridge and Hardware

The Ibanez Mono-Rail MR5S bridge isolates each string for optimal vibration transfer to the body, ensuring consistent tone and sustain. The hardware comes in a black finish.
